In a major push to modernize primary education, the Government of Kerala has launched ‘Digital Square’, a comprehensive tech-driven educational initiative. Formally integrated into the state education sector’s 100-day action plan, the program aims to make digital learning more effective, inclusive, and practical at the primary school level.
The initiative was officially inaugurated on July 26, 2026, during a statewide orientation workshop held in Malappuram by Minister for General Education N. Samsudheen. Demonstrating the government's intent to embed the plan directly into school administration, over 4,000 headmasters and headmistresses from all 14 districts of Kerala participated in the launch via video conference.
